What is WLI LeadershipConnect?

LeadershipConnect is a six-month, tailored program of online leadership learning, networking and support for all (male and female) Australia Awards scholars from the Pacific. The first LeadershipConnect ran from June to December 2020. It was developed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic to inspire Pacific scholars to think and talk about the role of leadership, and to support them to connect with each other during these challenging times.

LeadershipConnect brings together a selection of the most popular content, guest speakers and other activities from WLI's prestigious Leadership and Mentoring program, allowing male and female Pacific scholars to build their leadership skills, knowledge and networks all from the comfort and safety of home.

Following the success of the first LeadershipConnect, a second LeadershipConnect program ran from August 2021 to May 2022. The program was open to female and male Pacific Australia Award scholars, and female and male Pacific alumni who completed their Australia Awards studies between 2018 and 2021.

This program has been thought provoking. It challenges me to think differently and do things differently. I love this program because the content was relevant for me (and has) helped with my leadership skills.
